9:00 AM – 9:30 AM

The PGA of America takes youth attendees on-course for a first look behind the scenes of a major championship. The attendees will explore the course, learn the history and integrate into the preparation of one of the most renowned events in golf.

9:30 AM – 10:30 AM

Nisha & Seema Sadekar welcome all to PGA WORKS Beyond The Green, a career exploration event held alongside the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. Today we will celebrate the opportunities in golf and the many creative ways we can uplift ourselves and one another through the game of golf.

11:00 AM – 11:10 AM

Rachel Melendez-Mabee and Cathy Harbin, PGA National Board Member welcome attendees with a dynamic discussion on the many opportunities available to students from diverse backgrounds in the world of golf and helps them connect with industry professionals that can give them a deeper understanding of the game.

11:00 AM – 11:20 AM

Leaders from the PGA of America share important insights on how they’re making opportunities more accessible for all and how the work being done by the PGA, PGA Reach and PGA Works is paving the way forward for the students from diverse backgrounds.

The business world and golf world collide and thrive as the sport has proven to be a valuable professional skill that can give players access to the decision makers and key leaders, making diversity in golf a more important endeavor that can spark cultural change.

11:45 AM – 12:45 PM

Annette Comer leads a hyper-focused “Play to Win” workshop to help women tap into their inherent potential and power to excel in their professional careers and more. Comer’s powerful workshop teaches young female professionals important strategies that can help them rise in business and help them get closer to achieving success. This workshop will focus on getting ahead in the workplace as a woman with the world of golf as the backdrop. The professional coach and best selling author will teach students and attending youth the valuable skills that helped her excel in male-dominated industries. Learn how to Boss Up and maneuver through obstacles and setbacks in this valuable workshop led by the National Association of Professional Women’s “Woman of the Year” recipient.

We dive into an engaging discussion with media and broadcast professionals about their journey and work in the world of media, podcasts, social engagement, branding and more! Learn from experts on how to break into media so that diverse voices are heard and seen. Learn about the business of broadcasting and communications on and off the fairway by getting an insider’s look on the process of building confidence and knowledge with your own voice. Stand Up, Speak Up and Be Kind!

Leaders from the PGA of America welcome you to the Congressional Golf Club, home of one of golf’s major women’s championships. Here, the PGA of America will share their vision to grow the golf industry by welcoming diversity and inclusion to the game through intentional efforts and program outreach. Through its advocacy arms PGA REACH and PGA WORKS, the PGA of America is paving the way forward for students from diverse backgrounds to enter the world of golf. The opportunities are rising in the sport and the 29,000+ PGA Professionals are preparing for the next generation of golf professionals to enter the industry. Learn how to “get into the game” through the PGA and understand how you can be a part of the growing workforce.

Dr. Angela Reddix, “Releasing the Boss Within” author hosts this important workshop to guide and motivate the next generation of young women to excel in the golf industry and beyond. The TEDx speaker and 2021 Ebony Power 100 Entrepreneur & Innovator Leader Honoree will share her own entrepreneurial success story and invite the young female attendees to learn how to excel as students and young professionals. Dr. Reddix empowers and motivates women in this workshop bringing her experience as a keynote speaker, community leader and philanthropist to the conversation. The workshop promises to give attendees valuable insight on how to break into the professional world with vision and passion to achieve success and release the boss within!

Head out on the golf course to take a few swings with City Swing’s travel golf experience.  Inclusing a clinic with Seema Sadekar, City Swing and Tari Cash want you to expand your mind on what golf could be.

3:30 PM – 4:30 PM

Attendees will receive specialty gift bags from all the amazing partners and sports teams before heading back home as a thank you for the day!
